Businesses started to close early on Christmas Eve here in Ohio. Even stuff that is normally open 24/7 was dark and empty by 1900 hours (7 PM). Not surprising, since I'm sure everyone wanted to get home to spend the holiday with their family.
But, curiously enough, some fast food restaurants were open on Christmas Day! I passed a few Burger Kings as I was making my rounds, and they were all open for business. There aren't that many Sonic restaurants in my neck of the woods, but the one near my home was serving up milk shakes and overpriced hot dogs like it was any other Thursday.
I certainly wouldn't want to be one of the staff that was scheduled to work at one of these fast food places on Christmas. It would suck to give up your holiday for that ol' minimum wage.

I don't know what the law is in Ohio, but here in Oregon I'm pretty sure they get paid double time for holidays. (I'm sure it's at least time-and-a-half.)
Still, it would suck.
