It Is Never Too Early to Start Your Career

It seems that two sisters, aged 10 and 12 years, kidnapped the neighbor's 1-year-old baby boy.

It seems that it was reasonably well planned, or at least as well planned as is possible when such young criminals try their hands at what would be a capital crime if the perps were of legal age. When they took the victim, they also took diapers and other items which they would need to keep the child healthy while the ransom was collected. A note demanding $200,000 USD was also left behind.

The crime began to unravel when the mother of the two alleged felons noticed that they had the victim. While the Mom tried to look up the neighbor's phone number, the older girl skipped across the yard to the scene of the crime and tried to set the groundwork for her defense.

You see, she said to the parents of the victim, it was all the 10-year-old's doing.

I saw a great many criminals in my short law enforcement career, and this pattern of behavior is classic. The two girls have a great career ahead of them as vicious, hardened, violent criminals. When they're in jail they can become snitches in exchange for an extra jello cup at dinner.

Some people might call what happened a case of youthful indiscretion, an example of too much TV warping impressionable minds, or a situation where two young minds let their fantasy life run away with them.

Me, I call it naked ambition. You have to admire the desire to get a leg up on becoming scum of the Earth.

Hey, shouldn't every young person have goals in life? And life is what they have to look forward to if they keep kidnapping people.
