Same Old, Same Old

I favor securing our southern border purely for security reasons. The debate about illegal immigrants simply isn'y a concern of mine because I think we have more immediate and pressing concerns.

I have written a few posts about this over at The Chicago Boyz, the latest is a rebuttal of the claim by those who oppose closing the border that Islamic terrorists don't have any support in the traditionally Catholic societies down south. It would appear that Hezbollah planted some bombs in front of the US Embassy in Venezuala.

Of course, this might not be as it seems. It is possible that someone else besides Jihadi terrorist wannabees planted the bombs, and they were just looking for a patsy to take the heat. But I'm willing to guardedly take it at face value considering past history.

I have also noticed that those who oppose increasing border security are very quick to accuse their opponents as racist. Go ahead and check out the first comment left at my latest post on the subject.

The problem with trying to engage some people in debate is how incredibly boring and predictable they are.

A while back I was surfing and that day I found several discussions about border security, and in every single one of them some fool was yelling about racism. Me, I don't care if they're Mexicans, blonde Vikings, or Zulus--I want them on THEIR side of the border.
